Jay Kim joined Van Andel institute’s Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Core in April 2021. He received his B.S. in forest management, and then worked as a bioinformatics technician at a NGS service company and university in South Korea. During that time, he contributed to automating NGS data analysis pipelines, troubleshooting in-house programs and microbial community data analysis. He brings extensive programming skills to the Core.
